That logic is very flawed because you are not the only one getting infected. You are going to bring home that virus and infect anyone you come in contact with, whether you have symptoms or not. If it was just you, I'd say knock your socks off and go, but that is just not the case with this virus

Unfortunately I don't think people will care and its gonna be a zoo out there soon as the stripers start showing up. Boat traffic prob be worse then ever with as many people out of work and nothing better to do. Only way this doesnt happen is if the marinas are forced to shut down and boat ramps closed.

I think going out on your own boat with a friend...likely isn't soo bad. You are "technically" still isolated if alone on your boat. Just dont sneeze on Pete when you stop in the store there. My opinion is that is still safer than being on a larger boat where you don't know anyone else AND...probably safer than going out and hunting down TP for the #2 at a store.

I love the whole "social distancing" thing. The beaches in Florida are packed, where I work the store is crowded.

With all due respect, your post is lacking any common sense... Please use your head and do not promote reckless behavior.... The lives you save may be that of your own family.. Peace

I have supported party boat captains for fifty years and have enormous respect for them. I feel for them and for others where livelihoods are at stake due to the pandemic. I am also a healthcare professional. My wife called me today to ask me to please come home because her friend's cousin, age 57, in previously good health, just died from Corona Virus at one of the finest hospitals in NYC 6 days after developing symptoms. I am grateful that I am not supposed to be going back to the office until next Tuesday because I worry about infecting my own son who is immunologically compromised. My brother in Fla, a critical care doc, was asked to fly to CA immediately to help out, while my other brother, an ER doc at a well known hospital in Bklyn has been fielding non stop questions for the department of health for the past three days. I will not mention some of the alarming details he has shared with me. Please be safe and keep the faith.

Bill

With little due respect to the worry warts here, there are 20,000 people that die of flu every year and in some years like with Swine flu, it was 10 times that.

In NJ, we have 4 dead and they were all friends/family, with other conditions and by the time it is over, we will probably have 400-500 dead in the entire country

Yes, this virus does hit some people hard especially the elderly with pre existing conditions. However if we were to shut down the country for every special group of 400-500 that died, we are never going to survive as a country.

By the way with Swine flu, we had 1000 dead before a national emergency was declared and nothing was shut down except for one flight of Chinese trying to get back into China. What changed?!!?

Thank God there are still some people who see this for what it really is.
