Sharking bay side has become somewhat productive; bunker's your key there. Villas to the point will get you in the right area. The canal across from the ferry boats is relatively kid friendly and easy access as is the ICW under the "$.25" bridge.

My wife drags me there at least once a year. The surf fishing is usually pretty active but almost always small fish. Some years you see decent croakers but generally small. I like the area surrounding the light house.

The ferry inlet is not as kid friendly but it's the best bet for dinner. Could be some nice blackfish triggers or a fluke there.

Grab a bottle or 2 of shedder crab oil. Fish small crabs, fleas or worms for spikes in the bay. Sheeps and triggers in the rocks. The oil is crack. Local b&t should point you in the right direction.
