cape may
hi fellas,
hope all is well. ill be In cape may in a few weeks for family vacation and while I have used a guide in previous years and sometimes the bays and inshore are too warm for anything special. does anyone have some info on where to go or what to fish for. I guess fluke off the beech? ive walked some sod banks with nothing . im shore bound. also any place kid friendly for fast action anything or crabbing. thanks in advance riz |
Re: cape may
Fish the jetties if shore bound.. Kings, Croakers, Spots, Blowfish, Triggers, maybe even a few fluke.. Cape may jetties are very productive in summer for salt water pan fish...
here's a really good article about some CM jetties thats very informative and will get you started... bob http://www.capemaytimes.com/fishing/...ch-fishing.htm |

[QUOTE=bulletbob;489592]Yes, if he wants to dig up some sand bugs, Sheepshead are becoming fairly common in so. jersey these days, but he said kid friendly, so i didn't mention them. Not an ideal fish for kids... the kids will have their hands full with spot, croaker, and kings... bob

Re: cape may
Another pm sent; also....
Sharking bay side has become somewhat productive; bunker's your key there. Villas to the point will get you in the right area. The canal across from the ferry boats is relatively kid friendly and easy access as is the ICW under the "$.25" bridge. |
Re: cape may
My wife drags me there at least once a year. The surf fishing is usually pretty active but almost always small fish. Some years you see decent croakers but generally small. I like the area surrounding the light house.
The ferry inlet is not as kid friendly but it's the best bet for dinner. Could be some nice blackfish triggers or a fluke there. |
Re: cape may
