One interesting catch was a 14" pickerel with a 12" wire leader hanging out of its mouth. Hook was way down in its gullet so no retrieving that so I snipped the wire leader as close to the hook as I could. Hopefully it will be okay.

I think it's great that you're on a mission to catch every single pickerel in north Jersey. You should be about 2/3 of the way there by now.
