I was there on the 13th in the evening and landed a nice ~9" brook on a white spinner from the downstream side of the bridge. Took a pic and put him back.

Please post the pic. Supposedly the state is only stocking rainbow trout this year.

The waters just now starting to clean up and this afternoon I managed 3 bow's on spinners. I had power bait out as well but nothing but a few nibbles on those rods. Just one other guy was there and he had already caught two on power bait before I got there. No more rain for the next few days should mean good action and maybe enough to fire up the smoker.

That's not a brookie buddy. That is definitely a rainbow...brook trout have a white outline on the edges of their fins.

Just a guess, the state probably uses the bridges for safety reasons and ease of dumping the fish into the water.
