PB's being such a weather-dependent business, I feel everyone's pain. But let's not get carried away...unless you rather rely on the village sage reading cats' gut and tea leaves for your weather forecast.

along time ago I made a promise to myself that unless its super nasty when I wake up,i'm taking the ride to the boats.so many times I get to the boat to find
the weather is not bad at all and get my fishing in.sure there have been a few times when the boat did not sail but they are so few and far between.if ya stay home everytime the weather peep said it was gionna be bad you would never fish.buy some slicks and boots and take the ride. ![]() |

Took a shot in the wind(10-20+ mph forecasted) and drove down to the boat hopeful to sail. Part of what made my decision was knowing that the captain would have our safety in mind and put forth the extra effort to find a fishable bottom with the pending conditions, stay out longer then planned, use a little more gas, find their own fish, and/or just put a smile on your face.
At the end of the day the weatherman can only give you so much information and you can't let a possible shower deter you from an otherwise great experience. Have a little faith in the guys running the boats, they are Professionals! To Ron, Sr, Mike & Lou Thanks for a great time every time! |
