That's a great pickerel, especially given the intense fishing pressure that lake receives in the summer. I wonder if they'll let me launch a kayak in that lake. (After the ice melts, of course.) Here is something interesting. It's a Pennsylvania size vs. age chart for pickerel and pike, so you can estimate how old your catch is: ![]()

Cool chart but I wouldn't rely on it. Fish grow at different rates depending on what lake they're in and genetics. When I was working for the DEP in Connecticut we aged a 40" pike my buddy caught at it was 6 years old. They're just like people, they come in all shapes and sizes. Usually the real tanks grow quick and don't live as long.

It's possible thata pike could come from Farrington as Davidson's Mill Pond is right down the 'stream' from Farrington.
