That's a great pickerel, especially given the intense fishing pressure that lake receives in the summer. I wonder if they'll let me launch a kayak in that lake. (After the ice melts, of course.) Cool chart but I wouldn't rely on it. Fish grow at different rates depending on what lake they're in and genetics. When I was working for the DEP in Connecticut we aged a 40" pike my buddy caught at it was 6 years old. They're just like people, they come in all shapes and sizes. Usually the real tanks grow quick and don't live as long.
