I guess it depends how far down you consider Central NJ relative to where you live. The Barnegat bay has always been decent, there are a few piers to use or rent a skiff from one of the local places and get out to pole island or near the 37 Bridge.

I would have to disagree with this. Pride tackle is right in between both locations. You can buy crab bait and pretty much everything else you might need. You can also get info from Max on which location might be better! Do they allow crabbing off the Keansburg Pier?

Red bank has not been too good thus far - Oceanic bridge is much better
