Default Sandy Hook Surf

We fished the Seabass opener yesterday and on the way out in the dark we saw about 20 guys lined up on the surf casting. The same thing on the way back around 2. Was wondering if anyone knows how they did?

I was out by Beach C from about 10 AM- Noon Sunday. No bites. Beautiful day. There were about 10-20 people surfcasting up and down the beach.

Saw the same when we went out and came back Sunday.... Lots of boats out between the channels fishing for Albies but it sounds like they never came close enough for the surf casters....

Lots of Bunker from the tip of the hook all the way down to Deal too but nothing on them....

Gerry your boat looks great. We fished by you in a small fleet on some rough bottom near the Sandy Hook reef yesterday. Nice day and some nice sea bass caught.

Thanks Scott we try to keep aftter the old gal and she still shines pretty nice for a 2000.

We had a picky tog bite, only a few Sea Bass but we were fishing crabs. A shame too because a few weeks ago when Sea Bass was closed we had quite a few knuckle heads fishing crabs..

We had a couple of decent sea bass eat crabs yesterday. No love for us on the blackfish though. Some nice seabass and porgies and a great day on the water.
