Default Rancher, Farmer, Fisherman

Incredible puff piece for the commercial lobby, hosted by the Discovery Channel, which documented the saving of the Gulf Red Snapper Fishery by the conservationalist commercial fisherman and how the recreational fisherman are overfishing the stocks. I just about had a stroke watching this BS.

I watched only about 10min before I also got frustrated and turned it off.

I suggest everyone to watch "Big Fish Texas" on National Geographic Channel. Commercial guy who cries the blues then rakes up thousands of pounds of red snapped with deep water longline or bandit reels. Owner pretty much lobbies to cut recreational quota so that he can catch and sell more fish. So he can buy more houses for his family and play boats to screw around with.

But it all goes back to the government and money. If they give more fish quota to the commercial guys, they can sell more and get more tax. They don't care about the recreational guys or girls.

I was a fan of DC. Not any more, what BS. Show me one fish that was decimated by hook and line ! Never happened.

Hard to feel sorry for those guys when they are catching nets full of fish and I have trouble getting a keeper!

The show yesterday was a puff piece for the tree huggers to shut down ranchers in the Rockies and give more land to the govt
