Talking Miss Belmar - STRIPERS, BLUES, FLUKE, SEA BASS, WHITING & LING!

Friday afternoon, we fished northeast of our inlet with a very light crowd. The fish decided to cooperate and we had non stop action with both short and keeper sea bass! We also caught a keeper fluke and a handful of whiting. We totaled somewhere around 85 keeper sea bass by the end of the night.

Saturday morning, we had good fishing north of shark river inlet on blues 2-5 lbs with a couple stripers mixed in. The blues were hunkered down on sand eels and ava 27’s & 47’s, both plain and tailed worked great. Our pool winner was Sam from Middletown, NJ with a striper!

Saturday afternoon, we anchored up as it was too sloppy to drift. We caught some sea bass, both keepers and throwbacks, along with some whiting and ling.

Sunday morning, we had another decent day of angling. We continued to fish north of our inlet catching 1-5 lb blues. We see the blues working on top along with nice readings paved along the bottoms. Once again, both ava 27’s, both plain and tailed, worked the best.

Interested in an extra keeper for fall striper season September 1st? Get yours HERE.

Sailing daily for blues and stripers from 7:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. and every afternoon for fluke and sea bass from 4:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Join us as we bottom fish and mammal watch in the afternoons and then catch the most stunning sunset on the ride home. Bring your friends, family and children. This trip is fun for all ages and a must for everyone!
