You can get a good start on the State Fish and Wildlife site. You'll find links for places to fish, lakes or ponds, or rivers and streams.
Here's the link: http://www.state.nj.us/dep/fgw/fishing.htm |

if you have a smart phone download the NJFGW Pocket Ranger App. It will show you all the public fishing locations. Get out there and check them out.

Greenwood Lake and Monksville Reservoir. When fishing lakes, it's always preferable to fish from a boat instead of the shore. You can use Google Maps to find other bodies of water in your area. Have fun!

When I first came back to fishing a few years back, I simply went to the local bait shops and spoke to the staff. They will guide in the right direction. Probably set you up with the right tackle too for those locations.
