Default Celtic Stoirm Weekend Report

On Saturday we had Karen Maida party out for the day. We left the dock at 0700 hours made a left out of the Inlet and started to troll. We didn't have to go far. The Bass were off Asbury and Deal. We landed our first at 0815 - a 32 inch Bass. Then the boat traffic drove the fish deep. We switched over and started to jig but got nothing but blues. We finished the day trolling with no luck.

Sunday we had the boys from South Plainfield. We left the dock at 0600 hours, making a left out of the Inlet and got the call that fish where south of Manasquan. When we got there, the bunkers were breaking on top, so we snagged several and started to live line. We had one run off. Some boats caught them and some didn't (that was us). We left that pod and headed south to found another pod with the same results. The wind picked up and started to gust about 20mph. The drift became too fast so we broke out the trolling rods and caught monster blues but no Bass. Rough day on the grounds.
