I am utterly hooked on togging...what an incredibly fun fishery! Connected with a pig on my 5th ever blackfish trip, released!

Congrats on a nice combo trip
Very impressive blackfish especially being caught on jig in a yak. Looks like allot of fun. Blackfishing on a yak. Would like to try that someday |

I'm new at this game (first season, that was my 5th trip out for tog), but it seems like early season when the fish are shallow, a pedal-drive yak has an edge over boaters. We don't have to anchor to hold in wind/current, and we can get right up against the rocky islands while slowly probing every rock with our jigs. Of course once they move deep and/or the weather is nasty...I'd rather be on a boat!! |
