Very impressive blackfish especially being caught on jig in a yak. Looks like allot of fun. Blackfishing on a yak. Would like to try that someday

Yes, tons of fun.

I'm new at this game (first season, that was my 5th trip out for tog), but it seems like early season when the fish are shallow, a pedal-drive yak has an edge over boaters. We don't have to anchor to hold in wind/current, and we can get right up against the rocky islands while slowly probing every rock with our jigs.

Of course once they move deep and/or the weather is nasty...I'd rather be on a boat!!
