Wally World Opened at Sundown Tonight
Finally carved out some time and got on the water around 4 today. Fished a piece that held some good fish earlier in year and jigged a lone mid sized crappie off it. Went on a search and found an endless supply of dink white perch that kept me busy until the sun set. Went back to the first spot and it was game on. Missed a fish on the first cast then hooked up on the second. Netted 3 eyes during the magic hour and had a bunch of good hits also. 2 at 22" and 1 @ 19" all within a half hour period then it shut down.

Well that really picked up, didn't it? You can't beat action like that, nice Waldo's! All on a small jig, or did you switch it up? I was hoping to get out tonight, but that plan got squashed. Now I'm really itching to sneak out tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Nice report.. Over the years i have found walleye fishing is usually as you stated.. You would never know there were walleyes in the place you are fishing... All of a sudden, you nail several as dark approaches, and then they are done, and develop lockjaw again.. Its all about being there when they turn on during those little windows....
