Default Party Boat Angler Sunday Report NOT SAILING MONDAY

It was a nice day and the weatherman has pushed the rain off till Monday. We will not try tomorrow. We had a hard time finding keepers this morning till we got the change of tide drift which produced 9 keepers in 12 feet of water. We also found some keepers in 60 feet. Dan from Parsippany had the pool with a 6 pound fluke. Jack was fishing the viper and had 3 keepers in ten minutes and lost one. A few guys had 2 and some one and none.

The weather looks good for the rest of the week and we will sail at 7:00 AM from Tuesday on.

BIG POOL NOW $4790.

Thanks Captain George

Seen a lot of reports of significant quantities of fluke in the back bay. Do you think there back there because of Hermines or because of the amount of peanuts in the back bay this year. Strange hearing about shallow water fluke this time of year.

We had a similar event about 12 years ago when i ran the fishermen. We had a drought like this year and the lack of rain allowed the salinity of the rivers to rise and the bait and fluke went further and further upstream. I was the only captain to remain fluke fishing as all the other boats switched to weakfish. The fluking came back better than ever after the rains came and I had them all to myself. There are still plenty of fluke but not much left in the season. The Angler will stay till the end. Captain George
