After work 'Eyes

Mixed things up and headed north to the other big lake for a little post-work trip with Scoward. Launched around 630 and headed to an area where we did very well this time last year. Pleasureboaters, water skiers and wave runners made things interesting for a bit but once things settled down, we were able to get a few fish. Tossed the usual assortment of shads and jigs and ended up with 3 eyes 19"-21" and a handful of Smallies 10"-14". We managed 1 eye after dark but magic hour was the ticket, so we called it around 9:30pm. Water temp was 82 with a very distinct thermocline about 16ft down.
