Big Jamaica - 8-13 Report

Fishing was very good again today. We had loads of mackerel, some sea bass, Pollock, Cod, & a keeper Tog.
Our first stop only produced a cod, some sea bass and a few ling.
We move to another area and after we anchored we were catching a few sea bass and nothing else.
We were about to move to another spot and then a doubleheader mackerel came came over the rail.
We continued to fish and within a half an hour the mackerel were biting good
We saw many fish swimming in the slick, eating the chum and taking the baits.
Everyone caught plenty of fish, and we had beautiful weather once again.
The pool winner was:
Bilal Johnson from Plainfield NJ with an 10lb Cod.
The big Jamaica is sailing at 7:30 a.m. every day this week for Bluefish, Mackerel, Sea Bass, ling, and Fluke.
NIGHT trips sail for Blue Fish on FRIDAY, and SATURDAY nights at 7:30 p.m. this week.
Night fishing was poor last night. We will be checking out a different area tonight so hopefully we will have better results.
Afternoon Family fun trips for fluke and sea bass will sail Sunday through Wednesday from 4:30 p.m. till 8:30.
We had a lot of action on our last Family Fun trip with fluke and sea bass and on the Fishing and Fireworks trip last Thursday.
Fishing and Fireworks trips sail Thursday at 5PM.
