Default Lumps or Cigar

Planning an early morning run from GE Inlet and was thinking about trolling at either NE and Middle Lumps or the cigar. Looking for tuna, and maybe Mahi. Any spot looking better than the other right now(or is it still to early)? Also maybe looking for bluefish to give the nine year old some action.

just not a lot of south jersey guys on this board... cant remember last post that mentioned great egg inlet ! but there are a lot of good tuna and shark reports inshore right now from down by you right up through to the Coimbra and south shore LI spots, so I gotta believe if u drag ballyhoo WWBs around the cigar or scalloppy bottom down south by you theres a chance of connecting. maybe bring the shark gear in case tuna doesn't happen? can u make it to barneget ridge or is that too far of a run? small blues, bonitos, rat bluefins are there. who knows. gd luck .. do u use satellite charts? find some clean water ! let us know when you connect w the first mahi you will prob see the first ones before the Manasquan guys.. any day now they will be moving in. to me late july/early aug is the time to start fishing the pots, the fish are in and they haven't been hammered by every passing boat yet.. tight lines pm me w any intel !

Thanks for the posts. We scrapped today's offshore plans because the weather looked dicey. I hope to get out soon though and I will post the results.
