Maybe the guys who make the regulations are right? I mean we all complain when the limits go up but here we are a few years after the size goes way up and we have the best fishing in years! Coincidence?

Give it time man, there's a great run of bay fluke every few years much like this one that usually ends by July - by then you'll be complaining again

FWIW, I hope they did get it right, and we ALL see good fishing this summer!

It is a double edged sword! A great run in one year= stats the next year, that indicate we over fished = a bigger cut back in limits by the 3rd year.

This weekends weather sunny both days anything that floats someone will be fishing on it. Raritan bay will be the biggest on water boat show, come monday ther will be no fluke back to shorts. Amen

We have the best fishing in years because the "BAIT" is every-where you go. Fish follow the food. It's been more than 3-4 years since we've had this in the area we are fishing....The fact that we are Killing mostly female fish on a daily basis is going to be devastating down the road. Fact is 18 inch fish are 98% Females.
Nobody listens to the guys who live it every day....Science is always right, right??

The captains should know , they are out daily , I don't see the bait I just pay my fare . Going back many years I think that cold winters led to bad fluking , and like this year , milder winter , better fluking .

No Doubt, Water temp in the bay is 68, fished down the beach last week in the Wind and had 59 water temp, didn't see any bait...Ocean has been cold the past couple of seasons.
