GAMBLER --Stripers and Blues, Fluke and Accurate Reels

The Gambler was out hunting for stripers and blues this weekend. Had pretty good action on big blues on jigs and lures, but not too much success on live-bait striped bass yet. We'll continue for for stripers and blues, 7:00 AM till 2:30 PM through May 20th.

This Thursday, May 19th, the Gambler will be hosted by Accurate Reel company. Accurate will bring their quality equipment out for you to test. They were recently showing me their products and I was very impressed with Accurate's fine precision equipment --I can't wait to see it in action. As a prize, Accurate's crew will give away a reel to the biggest striper caught on the trip. There will be additional prizes also. Don't miss it. You can buy a ticket through Zerve or pay on board the day of the trip.

The Gambler crew is eagerly anticipating the start of fluke season, which begins Saturday, May 21st. We'll go right into our daily 1/2 day schedule: 8:00 AM till 12:30 PM and 2:00 PM till 6:30 PM.

The only day we will not be fishing is Monday morning, May 23rd, because we are scheduled for our annual Coast Guard inspection.

Our Twilight Striped Bass trips begin on May 27th, leaving at 7:30 PM and returning by 12:30 AM. We will be rigged and ready to catch striped bass by live bait fishing or casting lures --whatever works best to put the big bass in the boat. After the 27th, our Twilight Striper Trips will run every Thursday, Friday and Saturday through June.
