I just looked and I see 40s and 50s daytime temps all week! And that's for high point nj! And a lot of wind, which is not first ice's friend...I hate to say it, but I don't think I'm going to be eating my hat!

Chris, not sure what your looking at but the forecast I see for Stockholm (which is the same as Vernon) is a high of 47 and a low of 40 tomorrow, 43/30 on Thursday, 40/27 on Friday, 39/28 on Saturday, 38/25 on Sunday and 39/24 on Monday. So maybe the start of some ice on the smaller ponds. Definitely not cold enough for ice on the bigger impoundments though, keep your fingers crossed for more cold air.

You guys must use wishfulthinkingicefishingweather.com! If you find a puddle with fish in it, you might be able ice fish it by February!

Altho I have a ton of ice gear and goodies, I could care less about the ice anymore. Id rather sit in the boat w the topset on and heater going and jig all day comfortably than trek thru the snow and ice. The junk fish we shake off and hope not to catch open water now become trophys cause we are on the ice
