My first time floating the Upper D with my guide in November. The skies were nice and grey for the better part of the day with an occasional gusty breeze. Leaves were on the top of the water but not a huge problem, water was cold and gin clear. We floated from Long Eddy to the town of Callicoon.
Total for the trip was one Brown Trout, over a dozen real nice chunky Smallmouth Bass, a smattering of small Walleye and at least 6 Rainbow Trout.
Fish were healthy and strong. Had the ENTIRE river to ourselves, saw 3 bank fishermen the entire float trip.
