Default Big Jamaica Tuna 10/07

10-7 Canyon Report
We had another very good trip to the canyon.
There was a pretty big swell but the wind calmed down and conditions were good.
We started out fishing for mahi-mahi.
Mahi fishing was good and we boated 154 mahi up to 25lbs.
It did not take long to catch the first tuna once we anchored.
The first couple of fish were longfin and then it was a mix of yellow fun from 50 to 90 lbs, a couple of bigeyes, the biggest 230lbs, and a few longfin.
The action continued most of the night with a few lulls.
Some notable catches were:
Randy Dunlap from Boonton NJ with a 230lb big eye.
William Baek from College Point NY with his limit of yellowfin plus 2 longfin.
James Chapman from Philadelphia with his limit of longfin.
Mike Denard from Smallwood NY with 2 yellowfin and 1 longfin.
Phil Jones from Trenton NJ with his limit of yellowfin plus 1 longfin.
Anthony Lalli from New Rochelle NY with his limit of yellowfin.
Randy Ingram from Bristol Pa With his limit of yellowfin plus 2 longfin.
Chuck Solan from Silverton NJ with his limit of yellowfin plus 2 longfin.
And more.

Total of 51 Tuna, which included Yellowfin and Longfin from 50 to 90lbs plus a big 230lb Bigeye and 154 Mahi.
