Went out fluking with my buddy ed yesterday 8/6. Fishing was picky to say the least. Started on the NY side and had consistent short action, nothing was over 17 inches so we made a short move east. Dropped the lines down again and had another pick of shorts with an occasional sea robin. At this point it was almost noon and we still had an empty box. we took a run to the false hook, nada, ran out even further SE to a couple mussel beds that usually always produce, nada again! Ended the day back in the triangle hoping for a miracle but only had 1 more short. Tough day, fishing was pretty good, the keeping was not good. Tried gulp and jigs of all shapes sizes and colors and everything produced the same.

Cuba-I was out yesterday too. Identical fishing for us. Two keepers and about 30 shorts. Couldn't get the nicer fish to bite no matter what gulp/jigs we tried. Thanks for the report
