FISH STIX - Fluke Reports 7/28-8/3

Hey Guys here's a quick summary of fishing the past week or so. Weather has been beautiful!

Tuesday 7/28 Had Zach and Justin's charter. Tried some new territory and in the end it paid off. The boys beat up the shorts and weeded out 18 very big keepers for the day. Can't forget my 7# stargazer!

Wednesday 7/29 we had Howard's charter. First time bucktailers and some first time fluking. Let's just say it was tough for them, even catching the shorts. They did manage one keeper though.

Cancelled 7/30

Friday 7/31 we had Marks charter of 4 for a quick business fluke trip. Dragged bait for a few hours catching plenty of shorts with only 2 keepers mixed in. Back to the dock around noon.

Saturday 8/1 we had Kurts charter. It wasn't the same as it usually is for the boys on their yearly charter. We worked hard and all over but the catching was hard. Finished up with 5 or 6 keepers for their crew.

Sunday 8/2 had Rons afternoon charter of 4 for fluke. Literally fished for an hour and they wanted to go in. They had dinner and drinks and fished for a few, that was enough for them. Just being on the water I guess. Very fun crew tho!

Monday 8/3 had Ed Buds charter. Funny crew today, as usual! Anyway, got some Info from Capt Allen, and decided to finally go there. It was a good choice. Game on from the second the jigs hit the bottom. Big keepers and very short shorts. Ed Sr, had his limit of 6lbers real quick. But we knew the wind was gonna crank, and it did. Completely screwing up the bite. Did manage to pick a few more before they called it quits just after 12pm. They beat them up good for the short time fishing. Ended with 16 big keepers.

7/28 crew would have caught more fish had they not consumed 2lbs of jerky by 10am!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haha. I know right. But I will suggest 4-5lbs next trip, just saying.... Good times!

Way to stick with it Kris it's going to continue to get better from here on out! Crew is looking forward to The next trip on the 14th
