Default Prowler5 - Fri., July 10th, Fluke Report and 3:30 Trip Information

Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. We weren't out yesterday for the fluke trip with the bad weather. But we are out today with a nice big crowd of people for a Friday. We have a NW wind and the outgoing tide so we have perfect conditions with the drift and wind to fish down south today. We just started fishing and so far we have 10 - 11 shorts with a couple of keepers mixed in. A little 3:30 trip information. Capt. Jimmy Rivelli wants you guys to bring a small bag of ice for your fish. We dock 9:00 - 9:30 depending on the action. Also, I heard reports that there's been some jumbo porgies around. So, we'll go for them along with the fluke on the 3:30 to 9:00 trips on Fri. and Sat. If the porgies are close at the one can, we'll fish for them there. And now that we have our NY permit as of yesterday, we will fish in the NY wrecks for them there as well. I sent my crew to Freeport, Long Island, we have three brand new $800 anchors for the wreck trips. I'll post a follow-up report later. Thx., Capt. Scott P.S. Wreck trip every Sun. for the rest of the year 3:30 - 9:00 / 9:30 for porgies, ling, sea bass and cod.

Hey gang, Capt. Scott here. We took a ride all the way down to Monmouth Beach / Long Branch today. Fished tight to the beach. Good short action with keepers mixed in. Never know where we are going to go for these fluke. Capt. Jimmy will be at the helm tomorrow for the day trip. I will be running the Jumbo Porgy/ Fluke trip tomorrow night 3:30-9:00.

I'm out on the second trip. We're fishing local and we have about 15 shorts with one keeper so far. I'll be pretty tired from running both trips today so I'll do a follow-up report tomorrow morning on tonight's trip. Thx., Capt. Scott

Plenty of jumbo porgies at the Tin Can Grounds if the tide isn't too bad.

Thanks for that Tautog. I heard about the tin can grounds last week though I forget who told me. I have some very good drops over there. So if I have the right conditions I'll be targeting those jumbo porgies along with the fluke tomorrow afternoon. Thx., Capt. Scott
