sorry i titled this wrong, it should say...I lost a big hybrid striper at the hole yesterday

been after them for a while now through the ice and 20 minutes in i was hauling in a heavy thumping fish (i thought catfish) then as it got to the hole the striper jet rocketed sideways and popped the hook off right on the bottom rim of the hole...i almost frisbeed my tipup across the lake but then i realized ok, you just started maybe you finally found their secrets...nope, that was the only shot all day between 3 of us!
well besides that it was a great day (unfortunately stripers was my primary target) I did get my secondary target though some jigged up big schooling crappie that hit as the sun was going down, and nailed a nice almost 20in largemouth, some big pickerel to 22in, a sa 13" perch, and a sa 9" sunfish on the jig. the fast and furious crappie action on the little jig pole was the best, biggest one was 13" but my friend got a 15.25" on tip up and he also got plenty of perch, catfish, and smaller bass. pretty banner day after the heartbreaker to start it off.
