Ocean Explorer Saturday
12-6-14 We got out in good conditions compared to yesterday...Not much wind at all,,actually in between lack of wind,,,current running hard down the beach and a swell out of the east it was quite a trying day to stay in one spot on the anchors...I did not find the bite we were getting this week either...we picked some fish,,,hard to get anything going with the conditons we had..High hook had five keeper togs,,,some 3-4,,some 1-2 but it was a lot of work just to get that...And you had to know what you were doing,,..needless to say some guys struggled to get fish in the boat..Oh,,,did I mention the rain??Wow did it rain out there today!!!One of the reasons I don't have pics...I didn't even want to take a picture of the pool winner but I went out cause it was a really nice fish,,up around 11lbs..I would guess,,,,,Joe took home the pool money but was not in the seasonal pool so we did not weigh it....Either way a Jumbo!! TOMORROW WE ARE CANCELED!!(SUNDAY) Its supposed to start howling Northeast after midnite and blow up to 35kts..so its a good day to stay home and get some shopping done....I will let you know here about Monday but that does not look good either....
