Caught, tagged and released a sundial on an Ava and caught and released a 19" hickory shad on a teaser in the inlet on the incoming tide in the evening. Birds, bait and fish worked their way up the inlet. I didn't see anybody else catch anything. It was too windy and cold. Last fall I only saw 1 short striper caught in the inlet. Barnegat is much better but the jetty is still closed for reconstruction.

Barnegat opened yesterday.
