![]() Haven't had the dirty shrimp out in three weeks. With limited tog fishing experience on the shrimp and a borderline forecast of coarse Johnny and I said let's go.
Made it around the hook and put the pedal to the metal. Decided to stay close to the beach to avoid the west wind on my little boat. Found a piece on the finder, threw the bouy, figured things out Johnny threw the hook and I ended up right at the marker ![]() Worked my way out to deeper water with the same results. Always found great bottom but couldn't get a bite going. Johnny managed a short and a sweet trigger but that was it and it was getting late. Called my buddy "the fish" and he informed me he was on a nice piece with life and he was vacating for the day. As he left I slid in and Johnny once again dropped the hook (for the sixth time of the day) thanks Johnny! We came tight over the piece and it was game on! I dropped down mr greenie and BAM first keeper blackfish for me on the dirty! Oh, did I mention my first limit as well ![]() In the end we kept two five pounders and released countless others as well as some shorts. The trigger went back to swim another day. I didn't loose my anchor and caught some fish. My best day toggin on the 'dirty shrimp'! PS. took the cherry off of my new set up. The bogan fish poison rod I won on the RFA trip with a new Avet blue SX. Very nice new set up indeed.

![]() Good job Shrimpy! Loosing anchors does that really happen while bottom fishing? You bet it does... The one thing you realize the more you do it is there is no guarantee any time you put something in the water that it`s coming back.

![]() Way to tough it out Shrimpy.. Seems like the Tog are very concentrated on specific spots this year for some reason. On our prior trip, we moved around to several different pieces that looked fishy but they were dead. This was not the case last year. Seems like
