big billy bass from labor day weekend

Since I haven't invested in a kayak yet I have not been hit in the river for pike. The shore spots are over fished and I just dont feel like its worth it. Therefore ive been doing a lot of bass and pickeral fishing on some private property that I have access too with my boat up there. My girlfriend got into fishing with me and she has been dying to catch a nice bass. Last weekend I set her up with a walk the dog lure and BAM! She hooked into a 5 lb 19 inch largemouth. Several other 2-3 pound bass were caught as well as pickeral. Great fishing last weekend.
