![]() I went out on the Venture III when these guys dove the first day of the archeological survey on the Robert J. Walker. Great bunch of divers.
The Robert J. Walker (U.S. Coast Survey -NOAA) sunk June 21, 1860. Because of the Civil War the gov't never earnestly probed the cause, then kind of lost the ships whereabouts. 1960s a lobster man gets his pots stuck in. Divers start diving on it. Then the clues lead NOAA back to the ship in 2013. http://www.app.com/story/news/local/...ship/14403297/ http://www.app.com/story/sports/outd...boat/14405891/ |
