Taking my buddy on the Paramount tomorrow. Gonna try and get some sea bass before they drop it to 3 fish. Anyone else going? Will post up a report when I get back.

Got to the boat and had some decent action on fluke. I had 5 shorts with 2 17" fish on gulp and bucktail. We wound up going out with a pretty good crowd. At first fishing was slow. We tried drifting in the light winds but the current was too strong. Then we hit a bunch of short anchor stops and got a decent pick going. I couldn't do much on the ling as they kept hanging on and letting go, but others did quite a bit better. We had one good sea bass stop near the end where some people had up 5 keepers.
I wound up with 10 sea bass with 2 3lbers, a nice winter flounder and 6 ling. Middletown Mike won the pool with a 4lb sea bass and he had 10 sea bass, 19 ling and a flounder. Another guy had 7 sea bass and 24 ling. A couple of others were in the 20s on mixed fish. Some wound up with a pretty good catch, others not as many. I had 3 more short fluke in 20 mins after we got in. |
