Party boat angler good fluke fishing
It was good to see a lot of Angler flukers out today for the opener and for the most part the were treated to good fluking. We had a lot of good sized keepers and good short action to boot. By far Cigar Bob had the hot hand fishing with the boat bait he had his limit by 9:33 AM. i would not be surprised if it wasn't the first limit in NJ for the 2014 opener. We will watch this time for the rest of the season. Ling John who changed his name to stripe bass John this spring may change it to fluke John after catching his limit on the last drift.
The pool was won by John Brock from Annandale with a fish around 6 pounds. This was a very good showing of fluke. Tomorrow Saturday we sail by 7:00 AM the first boat out. Thanks Captain George Last edited by captain george angler; 05-23-2014 at 07:40 PM..

Weatherman kept the crowd down but not a drop of rain. Even had sun last half of trip. Very nice opening day. I didn't expect much after last winter. Ended up with one barely legal, a 3 and a 4 pounder.
