black nose black crappie pic

I caught and released a 10" black nose black crappie in Carnegie Lake yesterday evening. I never heard of such a fish until I checked www.crappie.com today.

Very nice! I plan to put the kayak in there again soon. I did catch a ~7" crappie on a white jig head with orange body spinning tail grub at lunchtime today by the finish line viewing area.

I caught at least one of them in Verona Lake yesterday as well. Hard not to notice the stripe on top...
