Default Passaic - 5/1

A pic from from the parking lot where I work. Across the way is Home Depot. Normally I could fish from the bank about 6 feet below the end of the lot. Not today!

Also check out the pH drop on the Raritan. From 8.7 down to 6.7. Thats pretty significant drop in a just a few days. Must be all the rainfall which comes down anywhere between 4.0 and 6. Although I read that in some T-storms the pH can be as low as 2!

I work in Roseland and the Passaic is up all over this area....along 280 it looked like a brand new NJ Swamp Land already this monring. That happens regularly in that area but for it to come up so high so fast is not a normal occurence.

Likewise with the Millstone. In two years in Somerset I've not seen the canal come over its banks until today. In spots along canal road the river and canal were coming up over the walking path.

That looks bad, I hope the pike don't all drown.

Just curious, anybody here ever try fishing the Passaic when it's up like this?
