Very interesting, I wonder if they paid any attention to the video. Norway has the right idea keep every thing that gets caught in the net.

Yes I noticed that but whatever they catch that goes over quota is not sold. That part goes to research & is given to the more needy from what I understand. I really wish that they would not have a size limit just a weight limit & have the overages be handled differently. One captain said he would donate his overages to schools & the needy that makes more sense.

Thanks Doug. that was interesting. what makes more sense is not wasting fish, dumping fish doesn't help anybody. I was bottom fishing one day on a Pb and the mate cough more ling than anyone on the boat.. he used the net to grab the leftover from the dragers that day....
