What kind of line to use on the bank!

the last three seasons BIG MAC has switched to braid(spider wire) on all outfits. fish have been in the deeper water thus braid reduces the stretch factor. depths of 35 to 60 fathoms are common. many brands available, we prefer power pro but they are all good. 80# test is our choice, color does not matter but we use green, red, yellow etc. to help solve the nasty tangles that occur with braid. leader material is 80# mono but will drop down to 50# test if the bite is picky. reels are loaded with Dacron backing then 450ft. of braid. we change the main line every ten trips. on the shoal water of stellwagen mono can be used, 100 to 120ft. of water. good luck! best, capt. jim
