Brings back memories. 45 degree angle off the statue's left front corner in the channel was a hole and we'd bring up cows in the spring before they made it to the bay.

Great pic... Ahhh, the days when you didn't know if a pic was good until it was developed. HAHA. I have a few pics from then that I took twice (just to be sure) and should have taken a 3rd time.

Lots of great places to fish in the Hudson River area. We used to launch at Liberty State Park and fish from the Statue to the Verrazano Bridge to Red Hook to Terminal Channel to Ellis Island to the East River. It is a boundless estuary with limitless possibilities even today. There have been some shoreline cleanups over the years and some of the old pilings and piers are gone, but the fish are still around. Thanks for the pic. It brings back some great memories.

Thanks, I wish I had a pic of my boat....that was my first new boat.
It was a 1987 starcraft (aluminium) 18ft CC With a 90hp Yamaha...and a 6hp kicker. Boat did about 50mph in calm seas.
I would fish salt on Saturday and round valley on Sunday..
