journey to the island

Fished hopatcong today made a quick stop for bait and headed over to the state park walked about halfway out drilled some holes made some quick work of some sunnies amd dink perch. Packed up and headed to the island set up shop put a few tip ups out and had a steady pick on jigs decided that it want cutting the mustard and shifted maybe 5oyrds and right away bing! Bam! Boom! One after another up to prob 14inches my buddy kept a dozen or so for a fish fry! Noisy ass lake toady had the promising rumbles but some scary ass shattering splits and ice jumping...i will admit the one i dropped the pole and was like white lightning skipping across the ice but it was safe right over 9inches...will post picts later
