Default Ocean Explorer Friday

12-13-13 I took a day off to take the family up to Manhattan yesterday, that is why I had no report..Got back late but the boat was out with only a small crowd..I dont know really how good they did but I do know the pool fish was up about ten pounds and one person did have a limit of fish...Today we made out with a nice a nice group of guys and in my book had decent fishing...Some guys were hot and one gentlemen even limited out by ten am...Others were not so hot and struggled early on but most managed to get into the game and get keepers later in the morning or afternoon at some point...So in the end the run down is....High hook had over a limit plus,,,few had 5 keepers,,few had 4 keepers,,,some three,,some two,,some one,,maybe one or two got the skunk...White crabs worked best but I know of one angler that caught 5 keepers on green crabs. Also I will point out as is the case many times with blackfishing,, some guys(no need to name names)who usually do really well had some of the lower hooks today,,no ryhme or reason for it just did not do well....In my book overall we did good today for a decent size crowd,,Check out some pics,,,,as for tomorrow a few of you called and yes of course we are going fishing@!!!!See ya for coffee,,rain or shine..First picture here is Hd Mark who took home both pools today with this nice Fish!!

Yes sir, Gerry. Jeff fished next to me all day. He got dialed in towards the end and started crushing some nice keepers. I got the pool with a nice fish @ 6 pounds on the very first drop, had one more keeper and a few shorts. Great day on the water, some nice fish coming over the rail all day long. Wish I had caught this Fish last Sunday on PUOSU!

Yes it is!! Like mark said we fished side by side.. He pulls up a bulldog on the first drop like it was nothing!!

Dad got 3 and I got 4.. Was a good day.. Cold with that wind but not to bad.. Went most of the day with only 2 in the box until our last drop when i had em dialed in and pulled two nice fish from their homes..

Great day on the water with the OE crew as always!

Nice meeting you Mark and nice fish. I had a rough day, just couldn't get it going. But that's fishing. Captain Quinn is aces. What other Captain re rigs your backup rod when you bust off during a hot bite?

Nice meeting you too Razz, and you're right, Bobby and crew are the best in the business hands down, nobody works as hard as they do and their reputation speaks for itself!
