FISH TANK - Late Report Sat 11/2

Capt. Tommy and I headed out on Saturday with an all-star crew consiting of John, Nate, Ed, Henry, Russ and our new friend Andrew for a day of sea bassin'. We put a handful of keepers in the boat on the first few drops, but something must have had these fish spooked because we read life all over the place, but they just weren't chewing like they were the past few weeks. Maybe it was the groundswell? Maybe the bottom was churned up from all of the wind? Or maybe these fish are just that smart and know the season is open again? Whatever was the cause, it was just not our day, so onto plan B we went.

Loaded with a bushel of greenies, we decided to round out the day in search of some tog and it was definitely the right call. It took a few minutes to get them going and then it became a steady pick around the boat. We had a good mix of keepers and shorts and everyone went home with their 1 keeper for dinner. We left em biting and got back to the dock later than usual, but it was worth putting in the overtime and playing C&R with the toggies.
