Default Great Bite this morning

We got to the marina at 7 am lit her up and off we went. Arrived at the place we gottem Wednesday it took a whole 10 minutes to find them again it's was game on!!! It lasted about an hour and a half before every boat known to man kind arrived and mugged the crap out of one another and finally pushed down the fish and the bait. Did the run and gun thing for awhile but just couldn't take the morons out there any longer. So off we went to try to find some life the wasn't covered with other boats. It took a little while but we found another body of fish. Smaller fish then the last place but we had the whole pond to ourselves. Had to cut the day short and get home to spend some QT with the family. So great fishing great family day just doesn't get much better than today. The largest fish today was a nice health fat 42" striper. I guess we caught 20 fish or so all released. I hope you all had a great day too!?

Default Sandy Hook Stripers - They Were Thick

Me, Joey Dah Fish, Sven of the Hook and Dr Kenny got an early start on Saturday, leaving the dock at 7 bells in search of Stripers.

Went outside where everyone's been fishing. At first light we marked them good but they were not active and no birds. Once the sun came up is was game on and for the next hour and a half were were jigging on the birds until it they broke up. Probably could have hung there longer if we were trolling but that's not our bag. Joe got the best fish of the day there which taped out at 41 inches. Tim got a decent fish as well, a nice fat gal that measured 38 inches. We had several others all keepers.

Once the birds scattered Joe decided to head inshore to some of our more traditional fall Striper spots. It was a good move and although we had no birds, the fish were there and we'd pick up a fish or 2 on each drift twiching our jigs off the bottom. I had one that taped out at 37 or so that put up a great fight in the current.

I guess we wound up with 20 fish. All released to fight another day, much to the disappointment of the fish and game officer who met us as we arrived at the dock. Great day on the water with perfect weather and company.. You know they were thick if I had a goo day
