I was able to get out for a couple of hours on the PR this afternoon. The plan was to land some pike. Water was very low and clear. Had a bunch of misses and follows. Seemed like the toothy critters didn't want to commit to my spinnerbait. Found a deep hole and switched to a Rapala lipless crankbait and nailed this nice crappie. Weather was great and it was a nice day to be on the river. Hopefully Mister Pike will cooperate next time.

I think some of those pike may be catching on that those spinnerbaits ain't food, time to switch it up a bit I think. Glad you got out for a bit.

A LOT less spinnerbait Pike for me this year as opposed to last year. You may be onto something Andy.
