April and I managed to sneak out for a few hours and it was an enjoyable time on the water, Left keyport at 8am and headed deep in calm seas only draw back was the fog. At first we didn't have any drift conditions at all but we were still picking a few keepers in that 17.5-18.5 range.
about an hour later we had to switch from 2oz bucktails up to 4oz and the keeper pace picked up
managed a quick 2 man limit but NO big fish we were back in and cleaned up just as the rain started so in my book it was a nice day.
Most fish were caught on top hook that had gulp on it really didn't matter what color also way to many throwbacks to keep count of.
Went back to the boat tonight and had a blast using the ultra lights with croakers
if your looking for a place to take the kids keyport is loaded croakers,spots and snappers!
