Default Trying new streams

After keeping it away in my garage for a few months it was finally time to break out my fly rod. With temperatures in the mid 70, it was the perfect temp to go out and try a new wts. The first place on my agenda was to fish Burnett Brook. Ive heard good things about this stream, but the area I tried fishing was a small trickle of water. I walked for a while downstream until I hit Stirlings pond, and besides a few pools filled with creek chubs everywhere else seemed barren. The next area I tried was India brook park. This area is stocked during the spring, but also holds wild trout. I fished with a pheasant tail nymph and landed two wild browns in the same hole. Caught nothing else here, but I did die of laughter when my friend got scared by a spider and fell into the river. Also I saw a nice sized brook that that survived since the spring stocking. Perfect weather, few trout, and a story i will never forget made this sunday good.
