That's unusual for several reasons

• smallie in the tidal portion
• smallie eating cornmeal bait

Was this among the rocks by the Trenton Makes bridge, or downstream?

We catch solid Smallies in the tidal, brackish section of the Passaic too. Most are VERY good looking fish too, they seem to be doing well.
