FYI - Keyport Municipal (FREE) Pier is Open Again :-)
Great to see it's now open again
 Kids are crabbing, folks are fishing . . . Stronger than the Storm !! Now all we need is a good crop of Snappers to complete the comeback. Very gratifying on Independence Day

Jeff - - Got my Personal Best Fluke from there many years ago (on a peanut bunker). Had to land it with a Crab net

Haven't fished there in a while. As I recall it used to be a great last season fluke spot, especially when the peanut bunker are in there. I also recall one September right after Labor Day for about 10-14 days you could catch all the #4-5 bluefish you wanted on a 1 ounce Krocodile Spoon. Every cast you had a fish. At high tide, the blues would pin the peanuts against the bulkhead & the peanuts would literally jump out of the water onto the sidewalk to escape them.
